The painting explores gender roles, societal behaviors and attitudes that are considered acceptable or desirable. It depicts a lady riding a bicycle, which was traditionally considered masculine and unfeminine. However, with the gender revolution, this norm was outdated, leading to the creation of lady bikes. These unisex bikes played a role in women's sexual liberation and reduced dress codes.

The painting explores gender beauty, the concept of how men and women are perceived visually appealing. Beauty is based on individual judgment and varies between men and women. The figure is set on a papyrus background, symbolizing growth and growth. The idea of beauty has evolved throughout history, and the painting uses the figure as a subject to provide a perspective on beauty. Beauty transcends gender, race, religion, and culture, and we should embrace our beauty without fear of judgement.

I am Dennis Kamau, a visual artist specializing in painting, digital arts, and graphics design. My passion for art began in primary school when teachers commissioned me to draw classroom charts, boosting my confidence and love for art. In high school, I honed my skills through competitions, and my design for the school bus exterior was well-received. This experience motivated me to pursue art as a career. After completing a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and Design at Kenyatta University, I now work as a freelance artist, earning a living through exhibitions and commissions. I enjoy challenging myself by exploring unfamiliar subjects, which keeps me creative, open to learning, and constantly renewing my artistic process. I exist to imagine and create.
