Welcome: The chair, Avi Sooful, welcomed all participants, proposing the agenda.
Introduction of the SDG Graduate School at the University of Hildesheim: Lea Frauenknecht briefly introduced her role as coordinator of the SDG Graduate School (a cooperation between the University of Hildesheim, Germany; University of Maiduguri, Nigeria; University of Cape Coast, Ghana). As funding for this Graduate School ends in 2025, she is looking for partnerships to develop perspectives beyond 2025. The contact with EVC also constitutes an important network when it will come to inviting speakers and facilitators for future workshops, colloquia, online lectures and/or conferences of the SDG Graduate School.

EVC Publication “Art, Culture, Education and Global Contemporaneity - Reflections in the Context of documenta 15”
39 abstracts have been accepted by the editorial board. Chapters must be submitted by 31 April. Lize Kriel will send a reminder.
EVC- (A) Gender Matters Conference in Pretoria (Sept 19 – 22)

EVC as a registered association
Options for funding activities make the legal foundation of an association necessary. If we do this, the (charming and attractive) character of an informal network might be lost, going to be transformed into a quite formal structure with strict rules. An association must have its registered office in one country. Arguments for and against were exchanged. Members are asked to inform themselves about local conditions for establishing an association or alternatives, in order to enable funding opportunities.
MoUs
Ernst Wagner reported on negotiations with the Ghana National Museum in Accra after a visit in early March. A MoU with this institution can serve as a blueprint for clarifying the relations with partners that are not members of the Expert Panel. See: https://explore-vc.org/en/info/partners.html
