The German photographer Verena Hägler presented her project SALTROAD which is currently being exhibited in the Rathaus Gallery in Munich. Her work is situated between documentary, conceptual and subjective photography.

The South-African artist Cazlynne Peffer gave an artist talk about her autobiographical work. Peffer presented her research on the representation of sexual violence in art and described her own artistic process. In her installations she substitutes the victim’s body with objects. After the presentation, the students could ask questions and gave Cazlynne feedback on how inspiring they find her artistic approach.

For a first meeting Obakeng Kgongoane and Deneesher Pather invited a group of students from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich to an online event of their Visual Culture Club at the University of Pretoria on February 29, 2024. After a first round of introduction, the film "The Stuart Hall Project" by John Akomfrah (Link) was screened and discussed.
