This secton brings togehter five individual artistic positions from Durban, South Africa, Munich, Germany and Passau Germany.

In Passau, the art students worked on artistic processes in reflection and production with AI in images and language in a critical, curious and exploratory way. What becomes apparent in the comparative research arrangements of similarities and differences in image design processes and text design is the significance of the human body. A memory of an event is interspersed with smells, movement, sounds, light, warmth or cold.  An AI can create a superficially credible story for a photographed memory image, but as a machine it cannot capture the complexity and nuances of all the senses involved in the specific situation that are inscribed in the handwritten texts.  A drawing of a scientific field will not be caught up by an AI if it develops performatively in the process and each draughtswoman contributes her individual gesture. We are very pleased that we were able to make these findings in connection with A(eye) AI.
