Ming Zhang is a lecturer and researcher at Department of Art Education, Qilu Normal University, Jinan, Shandong, China. From July 2019 to July 2020, she worked at the Institute of Art Education at the University of Augsburg, as visiting lecturer and scholar. She was awarded as excellent supervisor by the Provincial Education Board of Shangdong. Graduated with a Master in fine art, her research interest primarily lies in the interface of art education, appreciation and creation of Chinese painting (especially traditional meticulous painting), and the restoration of cultural relic (especially painted statues). With Prof. Xin Li, she published the book entitled ”The charm of color”, which is supported by National social science foundation. She was responsible for the writing on the study of Chinese painting’s color and the study of the expressive power of Western paintings’ color and its influence on Chinese traditional painting. In addition, she participated into the restoration of Buddha statues at Lingyan Temple.
