Njeri Gachihi is a Curator and Research Scientist at the National Museums of Kenya since 2006. She is a team member of the International Inventories Programme (IIP), a database and provenance research programme that started in 2018. She has made a major contribution as a researcher and curatorial representative for the Invisible Inventories; Questioning Kenyan Collections in Western Museums exhibition held in National Museums of Kenya (NMK), Nairobi – Kenya (18th March - 2nd June 2021); Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum (RJM), Cologne – Germany (May 28th - 29th August 2021) and the Weltkulturen Museum (WKM), Frankfurt/Main – Germany (5th October 2021 – 9th January 2022). Ms. Gachihi’s current interests are Indigenous Knowledge and how it can be used to solve current challenges in Health; Religion and its role in wellness and research on objects relating to the same.
