I began my academic career in Kwazulu Natal, as an educator before relocating to Gauteng. My area of interest remains a feminist position within the visual arts. I have participated in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally and the notion of landscape has occupied my work for the past ten years as both political and feminist images. I have worked in the professional environment of the visual arts for most of my academic career. I spent 15 years as an academic and finally headed the Department of the Visual Arts and Design at the Vaal University of Technology. I currently hold the position of senior lecturer, Fine Art at the University of Pretoria. I serve as the National President of the South African National Association for the Visual Arts.
