Thaís Machado is a Brazilian visual artist based in Berlin with a background in architecture who has been living for more than half a decade far from her place of origin. In this transit between landscapes, she finds in urban flashpoints, artistic maps, materializing her interest of observation and intersection with the environment. Her main line of work and research is a critical reflection on belonging, territory and the physical and symbolic foundations of today's society. She also has a great interest in Bio architecture and organic processes that seek to engage with their surroundings, mixing ancestral techniques with new technologies to rethink paths far beyond aesthetics and functionality.
